Common Challenges in Heat-Treatment Line Cleaning

Heat discoloration and oxide scale, residual contamination in blind holes, solvent safety management, running costs — these are the issues we hear about most often from plant engineers
Heat discoloration and oxide scale remain,
triggering quality complaints in downstream processes.
Problem Solved — With BIOVA.

Four stages, one chamber, fully automated vacuum cleaning
— delivering cleaning performance, safety and cost efficiency all at the highest level.
Pre-shower cleaning → final solvent shower fill and immersion cleaning → reduced-pressure vapor rinsing → vacuum drying, all processed automatically within a single chamber.
Every stage runs under vacuum, so oxygen concentration stays low and the process is inherently safe. Nitrogen is used only for emergency fire suppression.
Because the solvent never contacts the atmosphere, heated cleaning is possible. Repeated vacuum/re-pressurization cycles during immersion cleaning remove contaminants even from complex geometries
A two-stage configuration of liquid-ring vacuum pump plus mechanical booster pump achieves a high solvent recovery rate and cuts solvent consumption.

A large basket with a capacity of up to 1,000 kg allows heavy post-heat-treatment components to be cleaned in a single batch.
* Custom sizes are also available. For heavily contaminated workpieces, we recommend adding a distillation unit.
